गरुवार को मुख्यमंत्री श्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत से कुर्मांचल सांस्कृतिक एवं कल्याण परिषद देहरादून के अध्यक्ष श्री कमल रजवार ने परिषद के अन्य सदस्यों के साथ भेंट की। उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री को कोविड-19 के दृष्टिगत 3 लाख 72 हजार की धनराशि का चेक सौंपा। इस धनराशि में मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष हेतु 2 लाख 21 हजार तथा पीएम केयर फंड के लिए दी गई 1 लाख 51 हजार की धनराशि शामिल है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कुर्मांचल परिषद के सहयोग की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि कोरोना संक्रमण की रोकथाम हेतु किए जा रहे प्रयासों में प्रदेशवासियों द्वारा यथासंभव सहयोग दिया जा रहा है, उन्होंने कहा कि सभी के सहयोग से हम इस वैश्विक महामारी को रोकने में अवश्य सफल होंगे।
परिषद के अध्यक्ष श्री कमल रजवार ने मुख्यमंत्री को अवगत कराया कि परिषद के सदस्यों द्वारा इस विकट परिस्थिति में जरूरतमंदों को खाद्यान्न व मास्क आदि का वितरण के साथ ही प्रवासियों के घर वापसी में भी सहयोग किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि कुर्मांचल समाज का हर सदस्य इस समस्या के समाधान में सहयोगी की भूमिका निभा रहा है। इस अवसर पर महासचिव चंद्रशेखर जोशी, पूर्व महासचिव श्री गोविंद बल्लभ पांडे एवं शाखा सचिव डॉ अनिल कुमार मिश्रा आदि उपस्थित थें।
