मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी देर रात रिंग रोड लाडपुर में आयोजित राज्य के लोक पर्व इगास बग्वाल (बूढ़ी दीपावली) कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुए। मुख्यमंत्री ने इस अवसर पर सभी को इगास की बधाई देते हुए कहा कि हमारी लोक परम्परा देवभूमि की संस्कृति की पहचान है। उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी राज्य की लोक संस्कृति एवं लोक परम्परा उस राज्य की आत्मा होती है, इसमें इगास का पर्व भी शामिल है। उन्होंने कहा कि हम राज्य की लोक संस्कृति के संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन के लिये संकल्पबद्ध है। उन्होंने कहा कि अपनी लोक संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने के लिये हम प्रयासरत है। हमारी युवा पीढ़ी अपनी लोक संस्कृति एवं लोक पर्वों से जुड़े इसके भी प्रयास होने चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि इगास बग्वाल से कई एतिहासिक पहलु भी जुड़े हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अपने लोक पर्वो के माध्यम से अपनी संस्कृति को संरक्षित करने तथा प्रकृति के संरक्षण की भी हमारी परम्परा है। इस कार्यक्रम में डॉ. हरक सिंह रावत, विधायक श्री उमेश शर्मा ‘‘काऊ‘‘, श्री खजान दास, श्री पूरन सिंह फर्त्याल, पदमश्री श्री प्रीतम भरतवाण सहित बड़ी संख्या में क्षेत्रवासी उपस्थित थे।
